Kristopher H. Bilbrey is a Political Activist and Commentator. He is a proud Hoosier and a God-fearing American citizen! He has been called a 'Government Watchdog,' 'the Mouth of the People,' a 'Bastard,' and much worse! With over 30 years of experience in the 'full contact sport of politics,' Bilbrey is uniquely able to connect with people's hearts and minds by teaching them the importance of becoming educated about politics and government, and then taking action to make a difference.
Kristopher H. Bilbrey is a common-sense, constitutional, conservative libertarian who is steadfast in his commitment to fairness, objectivity, transparency, and the truth. Despite being called a "wrecking ball to Democrats," he has no hesitation in holding Republicans accountable when necessary. He is dedicated to the idea of truth, justice, and the American way. He strives to hold those in power responsible for their actions or inactions, and his commentary is always sharp and on target!
Bilbrey has hosted several different political shows over the years, starting with: 'What's Up with Winchester' and 'Live @ 8:35p' (both in 2015), 'Perception IS Reality w/Kristopher H. Bilbrey' (in 2019), 'Live @ 9:35p' (in January 2020), and then 'The Bastards of Politics' (which launched in October 2022 and ran through August 2023).
However, with the demise of 'The Bastards of Politics' in August 2023, it was up to Bilbrey, along with his close and trusted teammates Brandon Rudd and Producer Kate Thornburg, to establish a permanent home for a style of political commentary that is very much needed now, more than ever!
Bilbrey, Rudd, and Producer Kate did exactly that when they not only laid the foundation for a better program but also created space for a genuine community where like-minded people can meet and share ideas. At the same time, individuals with different views and opinions are just as free to express themselves, enabling honest and often tough conversations to happen! And that's precisely what they achieved with: "The Political Spotlight!"

The Political Spotlight is a platform that covers all aspects of politics at the local, state, and national levels. Its mission is to uncover and eradicate corruption in government and politics, and to uphold the Constitution of the United States. The show's message is clear: The old, corrupt way of doing business is over! The aim is to give all citizens the knowledge and motivation to stay informed and get involved.

Brandon Rudd
Brandon Rudd has hosted 0 episodes.
Brandon "Brando" Rudd had been interested in local, state, and national politics for over 25 years... but he became deeply involved in the political process in 2020 when he started working on a campaign for a candidate running for State Representative. Then, in 2021, Brandon had no choice but to file a lawsuit against Indiana's District 33 State Representative JD Prescott (R) for violating his First Amendment rights by deleting questions Brandon had been trying to ask and then outright blocking Brandon from seeing ALL of his official government page(s). The suit concluded with the judge telling Prescott he had to either 1) allow Brandon and everyone else to access his social media page and not delete them... or 2) delete his account!
Prescott chose to delete his account, showing all of Indiana how petulant he can be! While this wasn't what Brandon wanted, it was still a win.
Brando also has zero tolerance for dishonesty, especially from politicians, and he is passionate about holding them accountable for their misconduct. Elected and appointed government officials are public servants, and if or when they fail to serve the people, Brando believes it is crucial to call them out.
Brandon is a constitutional conservative, and although he identified as a Republican for most of his adult life, he switched to the Libertarian Party of Indiana in 2022 because of his disappointment with the Indiana Republican Party. Brandon recognizes the importance of being an informed citizen and knows that party affiliation alone says little about politicians. The two-party system has hurt our country for too long, and we need to call out the nonsense, regardless of which party it comes from, if we truly want to see things improve.
On October 2nd, 2021, Brandon appeared as a Guest on the 168th episode of Kristopher H. Bilbrey's political podcast: "Perception IS Reality w/Kristopher H. Bilbrey."... Brandon & Bilbrey quickly became friends & in 2022, Brandon joined the team of producers on the "Perception IS Reality w/Kristopher H. Bilbrey" podcast. On September 27, 2022, Brandon joined the other two producers, "The Vulgar Poets" (Niles & Kate Thornburg), as Guests on the 194th episode of "Perception IS Reality."

Ep #194: https://perception.fireside.fm/194...In August 2022, Bilbrey asked Brandon if he would be interested in co-hosting a new program that was in the works with Bilbrey and a third person whom Bilbrey had recently met. Brandon said yes, and with those three guys and the help of Producer Kate, 'The Bastards of Politics' launched on October 31st, 2022, as a new political commentary program and network. The show was successful for a while and consistently gained new listeners and viewers. However, due to differing personalities and other 'irreconcilable differences,' 'The Bastards of Politics' ended in August 2023.
At that time, Bilbrey was considering returning to another one of his shows or starting a new project. So, it all began in the first few days of August 2023. Bilbrey, Brandon, and Kate started working on creating a permanent platform for a style of political commentary that is needed now, more than ever!

Kate Thornburg is half of the "Vulgar Poets," a production team for several political programs hosted by Kristopher H. Bilbrey over the years. The other half is her husband, Niles Thornburg.
Kate is the Head of Production and Research at The Political Spotlight.
Producer Kate is a military wife, mother, activist, friend, and reporter. She is very active in her community and the State of Indiana! Her main roles on the show include research, production, and trying to channel Bilbrey and Brandon's passions and chaos into nightly episodes.
Kate is the chair of the Libertarian Party in Randolph County, Indiana.
