Ring is a lifelong resident of Henry County. He is one of two candidates in this race who are not currently, nor have ever been, law enforcement officers. He has said he is running because of well-known issues with the current elected sheriff and the sheriff's department's operations under that leadership.

Bilbrey and Ring discuss the campaign, Ring's views on Henry County's current state, and Ring's plans for the sheriff's department if elected.
