#555 | Self Defense or Murder? Indiana's Castle Doctrine Under Review! | The Political Spotlight

Host Kristopher H. Bilbrey discusses the tragic death of 32-year-old Maria Florinda Rios del Velazquez, who was fatally shot after accidentally arriving at the wrong house for work in Whitestown, Indiana, early Wednesday morning, November 5, 2025.

However, this isn't just an ordinary murder case; it's more complex, which has led to misinformation, conspiracies, and lies spreading quickly. Therefore, Bilbrey decided to speak out in an effort to help calm the chaos. Like everyone else, Bilbrey has limited information about the actual case; however, his background in law enforcement will allow him to help clarify some of the confusion.

Join us as Bilbrey attempts to clarify what little is known about this situation, while also explaining what Indiana’s laws say about murder, manslaughter, self-defense, and Indiana's "Castle Doctrine."
