On Friday, February 27, 2026, The Political Spotlight breaks from its regularly scheduled days off to report on the tragic death of 35-year-old Nicholas Gulley II, a Henry County, Indiana, resident. Several hours after being booked, a physical altercation occurred between Gulley and corrections officers. Over the next nine days, Gulley's medical condition deteriorated. He was transported to Henry County Hospital via EMS on Sunday, January 18, 2026, and later airlifted to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, where he remained in the intensive care unit on life support until his passing at approximately 5:57 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026. Host Kristopher H. Bilbrey provides details on this tragic case and presents exclusive jail surveillance footage documenting key events from January 9 through January 18, 2026.
