During the final weeks of the 2026 primary election, Henry County Sheriff John M. Sproles has made multiple (QUESTIONABLE) statements about the ongoing "insurance issues" that Henry County, Indiana, has been dealing with.

In the real world, it's common knowledge that the "insurance issues" the county has been struggling with stem from various actions and/or inactions, resulting in numerous tort claims and lawsuits filed against Sheriff John M. Sproles, his fellow Deputies, the Sheriff's Department as an agency, and the County government as a whole.

This has led to several serious consequences for Henry County's taxpayers.

Sheriff John M. Sproles, while campaigning, has been downplaying these issues and has made several statements that have raised concerns for the team here at 'The Political Spotlight.'

As a result, record requests were issued to the Henry County Auditor's office, and many emails and documents have been collected. With all of that compiled, Host Kristopher H. Bilbrey and Producer Kate will walk the audience through THE REALITY of the situation in Henry County, Indiana.

The fact that reporter Travis Weik tried to start the article with a false claim and point fingers at Host Kristopher H. Bilbrey set things off on the wrong foot.

Not to mention the strange feeling that Weik and the newspaper seem more focused on playing PR rep for Sheriff John M. Sproles than on investigating what actually happened and following the story to its true, factual conclusion. All this and more make Bilbrey and the team question what is really going on, and he covers it all in this episode!

First up, the Henry County Sheriff's Department, under the PISS-POOR leadership of current Sheriff John M. Sproles, has put the County in a TOUGH SPOT with its insurance... YET AGAIN!

"The good news is (Henry County) will have insurance... the bad news is that (it) will feel like (the County) doesn't (have insurance)!"

We then move on to the City of Muncie, and the weekly Board of Works meeting held earlier today (Wednesday, February 25, 2026). Of course, there were claims, which are always important; however, the BIG NEWS of the meeting was the announcement that this would be BOW member Linda Gregory's last meeting. She is stepping away from "public service" after 12 years as a Muncie City Councilor and six years on this board.

Muncie Mayor Dan Ridenour did not announce his pick for her replacement; however, sources at City Hall have indicated that it would be local attorney Allen Wiseley, a young lap-dog Republican, who, like Democrat Gregory and the other two BOW members, will be a rubber stamp for Mayor Ridenour.
