Host Kristopher H. Bilbrey examines the day's breaking news from Henry County, Indiana, involving the Sheriff's Department.

Two deputies (Sergeant Ryan Burns and Sergeant Bobby Lackey) are under investigation for alleged ghost employment tied to their involvement with "Operation Pull Over" (a statewide traffic safety initiative used by local agencies to pay their officers for extra traffic enforcement shifts, putting additional officers/deputies/troopers on the road during high-risk periods). O.P.O. is funded in large part by federal highway safety money.

Allegedly, Sgts. Burns and Lackey were supposed to be working O.P.O. assignments; however, they were not where they were supposed to be or doing what they were supposed to do.

Sources inside the Henry County Sheriff's Office are informing 'The Political Spotlight' that the allegations are serious enough that both Sergeants face termination and possible criminal charges!

It's allegations and situations like these that Bilbrey refers to when he speaks of the culture of chaos and corruption that lame-duck Sheriff John M. Sproles has ushered into the Sheriff's Department.

The hits keep coming for the HCSD and the county government as a whole.

That said, this is still early in the investigation, and the situation is very fluid.

The ruling found that the City Council violated Indiana’s Open Door Law.
