The Council continues to double down on its outdated, backwards thinking, and members of the Madison County Sheriff's Department have had enough! The president of the FOP, a deputy who has served for several years, resigned his position while speaking to the Council on Thursday evening, October 9, 2025. He is the first of many, Bilbrey is afraid.

Things could get really, really bad before they ever get better—if they ever get better!

When a mistake occurs or something is done wrong, whether intentionally or not, once it is discovered, an apology is typically given, and the issue is corrected. Generally, it’s not expected that it will happen again or that something worse might occur.

However, in politics — especially in Muncie, Indiana — and even more so when the Ridenour Administration is involved, there are a few things you can be certain of:

First, there will be no "mea culpa"...

Second, the idea that "the cover-up is worse than the crime" is never considered...

And third, the sycophants will always be ready to die on even the most foolish of hills...

Needless to say, Mayor Ridenour’s Executive Assistant Shareen Wagley is doubling down on the crazy, along with the mayor and the rest of his team, and you know Host Kristopher H. Bilbrey has a LOT to say about it all!

Bilbrey is joined on the show briefly by Rachel Clark, his Co-Host from his other program, 'The Bilbrey & Clark Show' ⁨@BilbreyClarkShow⁩. As the former EMS Chief of the City of Muncie, Indiana, from 2019 to October 2022, she has gained various insights and thoughts about the ongoing insanity in Muncie.

In this 516th episode of 'The Political Spotlight,' Host Kristopher H. Bilbrey discusses the proposed 2026 budget for the City of Muncie. This is the budget that Mayor Dan Ridenour and his Administration have submitted to the City Council for their review and possible passage.

The Council, which was previously under Democratic control (6 to 3), is now controlled by the Republicans (5 to 4) due to Councilors Brandon Garrett and Jerry Dishman both switching parties from Democratic to Republican in July and August 2025.

Bilbrey reviews the proposed budget and shares his thoughts on what he expects to happen during the subsequent four Finance Committee meetings and two City Council meetings.

In keeping with the episode's theme — the proposed 2026 budget, taxpayer money, and meetings — Bilbrey highlights an interesting find on the agenda for the upcoming September 8, 2025, City Council meeting. Bilbrey examines Resolution 16-25, a resolution promoted by the Ridenour Administration. Bilbrey believes the resolution is out of line and should NOT be passed at this time. Will you agree with him or the Mayor?

And lastly, it appears that the City Councilors are experiencing issues with their emails again... THE NEVER-ENDING STORY!!!

In this 513Th episode of 'The Political Spotlight,' Host Kristopher H. Bilbrey reviews Muncie Mayor Dan Ridenour's press conference held earlier today (Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 3 p.m.) on the steps of City Hall in Muncie, Indiana.

The point of the presser was for the Mayor to unveil his proposed budget for the 2026 year. This draft will then be presented to the City Council, which will hold Finance Committee meetings to review the budget line by line, one department at a time.

The proposed budget will then need to be presented to the full Council for a vote on introduction. If approved, it will require a second vote in a subsequent Council meeting before November 1, 2025.

Bilbrey shares his thoughts on today's press conference and the city's budget process as a whole. This is one of the most critical aspects of local government.
